Water filters require periodical disinfection in order to maintain filter integrity.
Tristel Filter Shot automatically delivers a programmed dose of chlorine dioxide during periods of inactivity, with the purpose of removing accumulated bio burden from the 5μm, 1μm and 0.2μm filters.
Tristel Filter Shot also ensures that filters are regularly flushed with clean water every 15 minutes to reduce bacterial proliferation.
Tristel Filter Shot doses Tristel Filter Purge, based on Tristel’s proprietary chlorine dioxide chemistry, into the water used to disinfect filters. This powerful biocide is generated by mixing Tristel Base (a citric acid solution) and Tristel Activator (a sodium chlorite solution) at point of use.
Microbiological Efficacy
Tristel Filter Purge is effective against biofilm-forming organisms of concern in water management such as:
